Two Weeks in Mandates : Danish ATP fund hunts for hedge funds

The €49.8bn Danish labour market pension fund, ATP, is searching for specialised funds that could deliver alpha, possibly through hedge fund investments, according to IPE. During 2007, the fund will build an investment model to capture external sources of alpha to the already existing internal alpha portfolio. The City of Edinburgh Council Lothian Pension Fund, with £2.4bn in assets, has a notice on OJEU/OJEC regarding forthcoming tenders for management of a £330m property portfolio and a £140m emerging markets portfolio, according to Mandatewire. West Sussex County Council Pension Fund, with £1.5bn in assets, will tender a private equity mandate via OJEU/OJEC before the end of the month.
