PME has invested €250m in forestry with the US firm GMO According to its quarterly results, it had invested 1.5% of its assets in a forestry project in the first half of 2006. The Fife Council Pension Fund has awarded a GBP 250 million global equities mandate to Baillie Gifford & Co and Lazard Asset Management. The €174 billion California Public Employees' Retirement System (Calpers) has made a €400 million private equity investment with San Francisco Hamilton Lane, according Financial News. The investments include international emerging markets, clean air and energy and technology, middle market private equity and venture capital. Ireland's NPRF re-awarded €6 billion in two passive equity mandates to incumbent managers Bank of Ireland Asset Management/State Street Global Advisors and Barclays Global Investors, according to IPE. Cornwall County Council Pension Fund has announced the appointment of two global currency managers, Mellon Global Investments and Millennium Global Investments. |
